Voice & Piano Lessons

Welcome! I’ve been teaching voice & piano lessons for over 17 years and started my own private studio 9 years ago. I teach a wide range of ages, levels, and musical styles and tailor my teaching to the needs of the student. A high-quality musical education is important, but music should be fun too! Being a member of my studio gives each student the opportunity to learn/hone their skills, perform, and be a part of a supportive musical community. Some of my students have been chosen for Seattle Opera’s Teen Vocal Studio, participated in the state level for the Washington Solo and Ensemble Festival, participated in the national OAKE choir, state honor choir, have earned roles in local musical theater productions, school productions, as well as perform regularly with community choral groups.

Testimonials

“Erica is a wonderful teacher. My kid loves her. She is knowledgeable, patient, kind and creates a wonderful relationship with her students (adults and kids).”
— Julie (yelp review)
“Erica is a wonderful instructor! She is kind, patient, adapts to her students needs, and extremely knowledgeable about music and performing. I’ve worked with several voice coaches in the past, but since I started working with her, others have commented to me that they can really hear a difference!”

“We are so grateful to you and your musical instruction! You are a positive, encouraging force in my daughter’s week.”
— Christine
“My daughter has been working with Erica approximately 3 months. I’m noticing already that she has much better vocal control than before. Her choir director noted the same in a recent parent/teacher conference. We are so happy with everything she’s learning!”
— Lorinda (Thumbtack review)
“Erica is experienced in many styles and types of music. If you want to sing it, she can teach it. She is patient, makes students feel valued and appreciated, and is always encouraging. Her communication for rescheduling lessons when necessary is excellent. And you can tell how passionate she is about music, plus she is highly educated. No jaded tired instructor here. Just warm, friendly and professional instruction. I’ve learned so much from her, and even after a couple years, I continue to learn all the time. You might have to wait a little bit to become a student, but she’s worth the wait!”

“THANK YOU to you for your time and attention-your lessons & support have been SO valuable and feels like I’ve come miles from where I stated a few months ago...I can’t believe how long I’ve lived without exploring all of these facets of my voice!”
